The Lodge is the focal point of the Sporting Camp experience. Hunters and Fishermen met there at the beginning and end of every day to enjoy their meals together and to tell tales from the day's hunt.

Today the Nicatous Lodge is the centerpiece of our experience. The Lodge is open to all guests from 8am until 9pm. There are two bedrooms available in the Lodge for those seeking more creature comforts and the total Lodge experience. Enjoy some time on the front porch overlooking the Lake. Read a good book from our library or enjoy a board game with family or friends. Winter campers can take hot showers in the full common bathroom at the top of the stairs. Wireless internet access is provided free to our guests.

The Lodge is on the shores of Lake Nicatous and surrounded by a pine forest that is dotted with the sporting camp cabins. This is a perfect, unique place for a weekend getaway, family reunion, wedding or other gathering. Rent all or several cabins and enjoy the full Sporting Camp tradition with family and friends.

  The Cabins
Cabin rentals available 7 days a week.

Our cabins are authentic, log cabins in the sporting camp tradition. They are rustic, full of history, but comfortable and warm. All overlook water, either the lake or the stream. Cabins can accommodate from 1 to 9 guests. Floor plans and pictures of each are available on our site.

Each cabin has a fully functioning kitchen, full bath with hot shower, and a fireplace or wood stove. One cabin is fully winterized, two others have propane heaters. Wood for heating is provided free of charge. Please contact us for more information about our winter camping experience.

We are off the grid at Nicatous Lodge and Cabins, so we make our own power. We have ample energy to keep the lights on and the water warm. Electricity is provided 24X7 through our diesel generator. Our refrigerators, water heaters and stoves run on propane. High wattage amperage items are unlikely to work in the cabins, and may impact the entire camp. Please refrain from bringing personal items that use a lot of power, for example hair dryers, crock pots and eletric coffee pots.

We provide all linens and bed covers, but ask that you please bring your own bath and beach towels.

We are making every effort to maintain the sporting camp experience as we upgrade and improve Nicatous Lodge and Cabins.
