Enjoy an authentic, deep Maine Woods sporting camp experience

Nicatous Lodge and Cabins is a traditional lakefront Maine Vacation Lodge located 65 miles north of Bangor. The Nicatous lake region is home to 34 miles of winding shores and sheltered coves, 76 unsettled islands and sandy beaches, as well as 20,000 acres of woodlands. With a history that began in the 1880's when logging families owned the islands and camps on Nicatous Lake, the region remains, to this day, a destination of pristine waters, recreation and solitude.

The rightful name of Nicatous is Kiasobeak, "Clear Water Lake," a perfect description of these waters, endlessly refreshing to the mind, body, and spirit. We are confident that you will find the beautiful waters, surrounding islands, and peaceful woods and trails at Nicatous Lodge and Cabins as special as we do. Join us and experience the peace, quiet, and solitude for yourself.

The Nicatous Lodge is pleased to recommend registered Maine Guide and author of A Fisherman's Guide to Maine, Kevin Tracewski for your next Maine fishing adventure.
